I have applied Dance and Ballet education to all my thesis and assignments throughout all of my studies and this knowledge is something I bring with me to each student and class that I teach. Therefore I am the right person to nurture and develop your child’s dance education in my fun and welcoming dance classes.
In addition to this I have of course my dance training, beginning at aged 3 I trained in RAD classical ballet (examined and awarded distinction in all grades), as well as National Character, Jazz and contemporary genres.
I started my training at Deidre Bronner School of Ballet, followed by Full-time training at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy before accepting my place at the Akademie des Tanzes in Mannheim, Germany.
Returning home I have taught Ballet, National Character and Contemporary at Deidre Bronner School of Ballet (Ramsgate) and Rogerson Dance Studios (Mortdale), choreographing groups and solo routines with great success in many local competitions including the prestigious City of Sydney Eisteddfod.
After welcoming my first child in 2012, I discovered the need for quality activities for my toddler, tapping into my passion for dance, my interest in early dance education was ignited.
With this in mind in 2014 I Launched "Petite B Dance Studio" as an early childhood dance school, and from there, year by year, we have grown into the school we are today..
In addition to our toddler & preschooler programmes we are proud to offer syllabus classes In RAD ballet, with the opportunity to sit examinations each year (these are optional) as an RAD registered teacher and studio. Teaching correct technique and laying good foundations are of a high priority at petite b dance studio but none more so then our students leaving our classes full of the joy of dance.
With a deep love for all facets of dance and its genres, I also wanted to offer this opportunity to our students and as the studio grows we are offering more and more classes to our timetable. Currently we are thrilled to hold classes in Contemporary, Jazz & Musical Theatre, where students can discover more of what the dance world has to offer and find other ways to express themselves.
I look forward to meeting all my new petite b dances and introducing them to the wonderful world of dance, something I hold near and dear to my heart.
Miss Alana
